We are pleased to announce the following:
(1) California Cup #1 will take place online (Discord) on Saturday, October 29. We are using the KICKOFF set for Competitve+Standard and the KICKOFF Novice set for Novice. We are asking that teams outside of Northern and Central California not play this event. The field cap is 16 teams in each division.
(2) California Cup #2 will take place in-person on Saturday, November 12 at Oakland High School in Oakland. We are using NAQT IS-215 for Competitive+Standard and NAQT IS-216A for Novice. The field cap is 16 teams in each division. We would like to thank Mr. Robeson for his assistance with the tournament logistics.
We are still working to confirm Cal Cup #3 and #4 hosts – we are hoping to run Cal Cup #3 on Sat, Feb 11. Middle School teams are welcome to compete but should be aware that they will be playing high school-level questions against high school teams.
We are reintroducing “the package” – having the ability to play all four tournaments for the price of three. Teams that are confident they wish to play at least three of the tournaments are encouraged to sign up for the package. Package teams should still fill out the registration form for the various tournaments but will generally have priority in case of a waitlist.
